The Green Children are Mille Sunde and Tom Bevan who met during their song writing class at the Liverpool Institue of Performing Arts. In the summer of 2006 they recorded their debut album which was co-produced by Paul Fox who in the past has worked with Bjork. The pair established The Green Children Foundation to support microcredit, education and healthcare in poorer areas of the world and to date their campaign has raised over $300,000.
The entire proceeds from their fundraising 4-track EP ‘Hear me now’ will go to 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Yunus and the Grameen Healthcare Trust. They will then use this money to build the first dedicated eye hospital for the poor in Bangladesh.
