Perfect for fireplaces, grills, wood burning stoves and ovens as well as outdoor activities such as BBQ’s and campfires, these biomass firelighters are an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional kerosene and paraffin wax firelighters.

Made using wood from sustainably managed forests and vegetable oil, the firelighters are from 100% renewable resources.

Quick and easy to use, just place 3-4 firelighters under wood or on top of charcoal and light each firelighter on the fractured side of the cube. The cubes will burn for 8-10 minutes each with the first 5 minutes producing the strongest flame.

Each pack includes 72 pieces.

Many traditional firelighters contain kerosene and/or paraffin or paraffin wax which all come from petroleum and are therefore non-renewable. When burned many of these also release formaldehyde, a human carcinogen. These eco friendly alternatives, the If Your Care Firelighters are made from 100% renewable resources and are non-toxic.

The If You Care Firelighters are also considered to be carbon neutral firelighters. This is due to the fact that they are made using only biomass, ie: wood and vegetable oil. The CO2 which is emitted when they burn is equivalent to the CO2 the biomass absorbed during its period of growth.

Biomass is also a 100% renewable resource whilst firelighters made using kerosene, paraffin and slack wax are from non-renewable sources.
