The fire hoses which were previously employed fighting fires around the UK make a perfect wash bag as the material which needed to be strong enough to tackle the toughest conditions in its first incarnation, has been cleverly re-engineered into an eco friendly guardian for all your toiletries.The hose itself is waterproof so protects the contents inside the bag but perhaps just as importantly it makes a perfect travelling wash bag, protecting your luggage from leaky shampoo bottles and exploding toothpaste tubes.

The wash bags are made from reclaimed fire hoses that were otherwise on their way to landfill. To date, the makers have rescued over 40 tons of material from entering landfill sites.

The commitment to reusing materials also extends to the packaging and every Fire Hose Wash Bag comes individually packed in a recycled shoe box.

The fire hose wash bags are made by Elvis and Kresse who are based in Bournemouth, UK.

Although they started in London, they now collect fire hoses from across the UK and in order to thank Britain’s Brigades, 50% of their profits go back to the Fire Fighters Charity.
