These dining glasses are a fine example of how to re-use glass bottles and transform them into a new, stylish piece of glassware.

The wine glasses are made by bonding the base of a mineral water bottle to the neck of a wine bottle using a special water-proof glass adhesive. The rim of the glass is then polished and with these particular glasses the stems are left hollow which is great for that extra drop or two of wine at the end of the night!

Rather than recycling the glass bottles, they are transformed into these lovely wine glasses which is a very energy efficient process compared to traditional recycling as the bottles do not have to be melted down or re-heated.

The glasses are made by a small family-run workshop in London where they source the wine and mineral water bottles needed from local pubs, restaurants and cafes.
