Recycled glass products reduce the need for the raw materials that go into making new glass such as limestone, soda ash and sand. Each tonne of glass recycled in the furnace replaces 1.2 tonnes of raw materials to make new glass.

All the bottles used to make these Wine Carafes are collected locally from pubs, clubs, restaurants and camp sites within a 10 mile radius of the glass studio which helps to reduce the environmental impact of the production process.

The recycled carafes are handmade in a small glass studio in Bideford, Devon by Lars and Anders Persson.

The fundamental ethos of their company is to make the recycling of a used glass bottle as environmentally friendly as possible – to transform, what in effect is discarded domestic or commercial waste, into contemporary useable glassware products.
